History
Rotaract, founded in 1968 by Rotary International, is an organization of young people between the ages of 18 to 30. Today there are over 8,700 Rotary-supported Rotaract clubs with more than 200,000 members spanning 120 countries, making Rotaract one of the largest youth organizations in the world. Rotaract clubs, either community or university-based, provide an opportunity for young adults to enhance the knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Most Rotaract activities take place at the club level. Rotaract clubs hold formal meetings, usually every two weeks, which feature speakers, special outings, social activities, discussions or visits to other clubs. Club members also get together for service projects, social events or professional/leadership development workshops.
There are five Rotaract clubs within the Rotary District 7070: the Rotaract Club of Toronto, the Rotaract Club of the University of Toronto, Rotaract through DC, Trent and UOIT, Loyalist College Rotaract Club and York University Rotaract Club.

The calendar year for Rotaract is from July 1 until June 30.
