“Corporate Governance…the Good , the Bad, and the Ugly”

Ross Amos is currently Chair of the Board of Centurion REIT, and is a board member of a number of private Canadian companies. As well as his Rotary activities he is an active board member of New Haven school for autistic children and its related foundation.   He had been a board member on a number of publicly listed companies, private companies, and non-profit organizations.

In his directorship career he has chaired independent committees representing investors in management buy outs, share swap proposals and conflict of interest reviews. During his business career he has been CFO of a publicly listed real estate development company,  the General Partner of a chain of 65 hotels, and the Canadian President of a real estate investment company.

Ross holds an HBA from Ivey Business School, an MBA from Schulich, and received an ICD.D designation from Rotman School of Business at U of T and the Institute of Corporate Directors.  He has also lectured at Rotman.

A long-time member of the Rotary Club of Toronto, Ross is currently in his second term as a director and member of the executive committee He has also served as a director of The Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation, and has chaired most committees over the years as a Rotarian.
