As President and CEO, GE Canada and Vice President GE, Elyse leads GE’s growth, investments and business activities in Canada across its power, renewables, oil and gas, transportation, aviation, healthcare and digital portfolio.
 
She engages in shaping public policy through several board memberships including the C.D. Howe Institute, Conference Board of Canada, Mars DD and the Eco-Fiscal Commission. As well, she has served on numerous provincial and federal government advisory committees including the current Federal Finance Minister’s Economic Growth Council. She is a director for Brookfield Asset Management, a global alternative asset manager with over $250B under management.
 
The Women’s Executive Network recognized Elyse as a Top 100 Women of Influence and Hall of Fame inductee, and both Maclean’s and Canadian Business Magazines identified her as one of Canada’s most influential business leaders. She received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for her military support and recognition as the 2016 ‘Energy Person of the Year’ by the CEA. In 2014 Elyse was appointed Member of the Order of Canada.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business, also at Dartmouth. An active alumnus, she serves on the Tuck School Board of Overseers. Elyse holds several honorary doctorate degrees from Canadian universities.
