Today, on Remembrance Day 2024, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who have served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As Rotarians, our commitment to Service Above Self aligns with the values and dedication demonstrated by these courageous individuals.
As we take a moment of silence at 11 AM, let us reflect on the impact their selflessness has had on our lives and the world we live in today. We are grateful for the peace and security they fought to protect, and their legacy inspires us to continue serving our community and promoting international understanding.
In the spirit of remembrance, let us also think of those who carry the physical and mental wounds of conflict. May we continue to support and remember them as they navigate the challenges that come with their service.
As members of the Rotary Club of Toronto, we have the unique opportunity to make a difference in our community and the world at large. On this Remembrance Day, let us recommit ourselves to our shared goal of fostering peace, understanding, and goodwill in everything we do.
