"We have been doing this for 100 years...so Rotary has a lot of experience bringing to bear the power of the volunteer."

The key principle underlying Rotary is "service above self."  As our Club approaches our 100th year, it is clear that we have been successful in serving our community in many ways, both large and small, and are a vital and relevant part of Toronto life.  People join our Club because they are looking for ways to give back; guite simply, we are the best option there is and have the longest and most impresssive track record.

The Rotary Club of Torotno offers an unrivalled platform based on experience, recognition, history, and financial resources.  As well as this, our structure has an extremely broad focus which allows new members to choose exactly how they want to get involved and to make a difference themselves.  We welcome new ideas and enthusiastic volunteers; we offer them the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality.  This is a powerful attraction for the men and women who join our Club.  Once members have experienced the feeling of working together with other committed, empowered volunteers to make a difference in the lives of those less forutnate, they never leave.

We meet each Friday at lunch to network and to stay informed on a wide range of community issues and concerns.  Another underlying theme in Rotary is friendship and fun, which we call "fellowship," and we engage in a wide varity of activities on that front too.
