Biographies
Maria Shibaeva-Escarraga is Faculty at University of Toronto (Professor of the Year 2023-2024). She is an Independent Strategic Consultant, ex-P&G Brand Director, TEDx Speaker, and member of Rotary International.
Kwami Ahiabenu, PhD is a renowned FinTech expert and thought leader in people-centered digital innovations. He recently helped organize Evolve Tech Summit 2024 on the theme, “AI AND JOBS – NAVIGATING THE FUTURE OF WORK in Toronto.
Beau Rogers is an embedded software engineer who works at Ecobee making smart thermostats. He completed his engineering degree at the Dalhousie University in Halifax and is passionate about the electronics. Whether it is from the hardware that determines what it will do to the software that will determine how it will do it, he is curious about how it can better improve the world we live in.
Brent Thomas is a tenured and recognized senior cybersecurity leader who has spent the last two decades working for several well-known organizations across multiple industry verticals in both technical and progressive leadership positions. Brent has had the opportunity to drive large transformation and improvement programs, develop capabilities and processes, and build resilient teams to support them. He maintains several designations including the CISSP, CISA, CISM, CSSLP and CRM-E.
