Mission Statement

The Rotary Club of Toronto Charitable Foundation provides essential support for the charitable endeavors of The Rotary Club of Toronto. Its primary mission revolves around funding charitable programs and activities within the City of Toronto, with a particular focus on downtown Toronto. The Foundation's key objective is to contribute to the betterment of the quality of life in Toronto for various vulnerable groups, including children, youth, seniors, indigenous people, as well as disadvantaged and marginalized communities.

Moreover, the Foundation occasionally extends its support to registered Canadian charities engaged in international projects, disaster relief, and endeavors that address the needs of indigenous communities outside of Toronto, primarily within the Province of Ontario.

The Foundation efficiently operates through a dedicated group of volunteers who actively raise funds and carefully evaluate appeals. Thanks to the invaluable support of Rotary Club of Toronto members, administrative expenses are kept to a minimum, allowing the Foundation to maximize its impact in assisting the Toronto community's most vulnerable populations. Since its establishment in 1990, the Foundation has disbursed over $16 million in support, playing a pivotal role in fostering the establishment of several noteworthy organizations, including YES (Youth Employment Services), Laughlin Centre for Seniors, Gateway Shelter, Health Bus, and St. Michael's Transition Centre.
